Working from a “home base” in Las Vegas, Nevada–Shelby Sark is a practicing cosmetologist in three states. She has traveled extensively with Hattori Hanzo Shears as a national educator since 2014. Building clientele, client retention, business management, and social media are the industry keys to success that Shelby touches on in her classes–adding value above and beyond most other “structures of cutting” education. Graduating from a Pivot Point Member school and developed her foundation in utilizing pivotal points of the head as her cutting basis. Pushing boundaries and staying ahead of the trend has enabled her to create techniques in cutting that are efficient, distinct, and eccentric. Shelby strongly believes in the power and cruciality of continued education, and therefore has developed a way of educating that is comprehendible and applicable for stylists of all skill levels. Giovanni Scott is from beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah. He has been in the hair industry since 2006. Early on, Gio knew teaching the art of hair was his passion.
Giovanni’s experience in the hair industry is broad and continues to grow.He has been a salon owner, an instructor at Paul Mitchell the School, where he was the Cutting and Texture specialists. He has traveled the country teaching multiple salons and schools cutting, color, hair extension, and barbering courses. He has a real passion for sharing his knowledge with his fellow stylist and pushing them to their full potential.
Giovanni currently works as a full-time stylist and Director of Education at Relik Salon and Day Spa.Gio teaches techniques with no boundaries. The form and function of each tool help him create the softest to boldest looks. Shaun Brezanin is from the sunny state of Florida.
For more than a decade, he has been trailblazing the beauty industry. Shaun launched his career as National Educator for Paul Mitchell, Education Leader for PMTS, and as a stylist for high-end salons in the NY metropolitan area. He later became an Artistic Team Leader for JCPenney’s Salon by InStyle. Mr. Brezanin set the vision for their national campaigns, developed a curriculum, and shot tutorials that educated thousands of stylists across the country. Most recently, Brezanin became The Senior Artistic Leader for industry powerhouse Ulta Beauty, where he cast and led 16 of the nation’s top stylists along with industry icons to creating monthly, promotional, and holiday campaigns. His work is nationally featured in print and television, but his team was a 2-year NAHA finalist. Brezanin’s humble personality and likability, paired with his level of expertise, awarded him the opportunity to host several BTC live events as well as being selected as a panelist for the Bio-Ionic style awards. A combined intuitive understanding of the “Why” behind cutting and color will always keep Brezanin at the forefront of our time’s top industry leaders.

Cole Thompson is originally from Manchester, England, and has been active in the hair industry since 2000. Cole is the International Creative Director for Elevation H, youngest creative Director at Vidal Sassoon, and a Hanzo Artistic team member.
Cole started his career in independent salons around the Manchester area before beginning work for Vidal Sassoon in 2003, where he quickly became one of Vidal Sassoon’s youngest “Creative Directors.” During his 12 years at Vidal Sassoon, Cole gained tremendous respect in the industry while working closely with many schools in their “School Connection” program. He has traveled the world to educate professionals at all levels on haircutting techniques in both seminar and classroom settings. He developed programs to help clients grow and improve school curriculums, business and salon management and structure, client growth, assistant training programs, and more.
Cole has also worked on developing collections, has directed and run photoshoots, and has even appeared in a Vidal Sassoon TV commercial as a “Salon Genius.” Cole left Vidal Sassoon in 2015 to continue spreading his expansive knowledge to hair professionals of all levels all around the world, this time through Elevation H — the art, technique, and business of hair.

David Connor is extremely passionate about sharing the art of confidence through haircutting. Being a global educator for Babylisss Pro has given David an opportunity and platform all over the world to be inspired by rubbing shoulders with amazing hair artists. His focus is on sharing how building shapes and silhouettes can make clients feel and look. This approach has allowed David to build a large behind the chair clientele and a preeminent hair salon in New Orleans. His understanding has taken David internationally to many countries such as Italy, China, Brazil, and many more to share his approach to haircutting. Although David is an educator, he is passionate about his own continuing education and does so frequently by taking multiple classes a year.David is the owner and curator of Anti-Gravity Salon in New Orleans. From education platforms to being behind the chair, David loves the industry as a whole. He believes in raising the perception and standards for all hairstylists and the tools they use. He knows that busy, strong, and passionate stylists put a large demand on their tools and expect only the best out of them. As a behind the chair stylist and educator, David’s commitment to quality makes teaming up with HANZO completely organic.

He began his long history as an industry educator at the esteemed Vidal Sassoon Academy in London where he was a member of the International Artistic and Show Team for Sassoon before taking the big leap to independence in 1987.His mastery of the craft and gift for teaching has taken him all over the world for the past 25 years. He has worked in almost every city in the world and all over America. In 1994, he joined the Aveda Artistic Style Council and was appointed as Head of Education for the Aveda Institute in New York - Soho. At Aveda, he was responsible for implementing a strong yet simple haircutting system on many levels throughout the Aveda network, as well as delivering the latest trends through weekly advanced haircutting classes, national level shows and seasonal photographic sessions. In 1998, he began the tremendous task of putting his years of knowledge and expertise into ownership of a vision.He has been featured in such magazines as In Style, Mademoiselle, Jane, Marie Clare, Self, GQ, Details, YM, Soho Style, Time Out, and Vogue, and his salon was voted one of New York City's Top Ten Salons in the October 1999 Issue of Salon News. In addition, his work was highlighted on ABC's The View and MTV's Making The Band. The salon has also been featured on Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Teen Vogue, Color & Style Magazine, and The Wall Street Journal. His strong connection to the fashion world, mastery of cutting, and passion to adapt to the ever-changing eye of style define his illustrious career.

Kaitrin Ryanne is a Cosmetologist and Barber from Boston, MA.At a young age, she knew hair was her passion. Kaitrin would lock her sisters in the bathroom so she could style their hair, more often than not, against their will. Soon her passion would evolve into a career. The creativity within the industry and the process behind the chair intrigued her as a professional.Kaitrin has been cutting hair for over a decade.She started her career at Supercuts, working her way to a Salon on Boston’s Newbury St.Kaitrin has been the featured stylist at countless fashion shows, photoshoots, movie trailers, and weddings. In these moments, she found peace in teaching.
Teaching others how to accomplish techniques in both women’s and men’s cutting led her to take a position with Floyds Barbershop on the National Education Team.
